Mangrove Planting and Tour in Bohol

Banacon Island, November 25, 2017. The Kanepackage Group of Companies represented with its affiliates once again showed its support in helping the coastal environment by planting mangroves as its way of giving back to the environment. With customer from Japan and KGS Philippines Corporation this year, the group traveled about 25 minutes from Getafe port going to the planting site. A total of 500 pieces of Rhizophora species mangrove propagules were planted together with the locals of Banacon. Kanepackage Group of Companies has been doing this type environmental rehabilitation projects by planting mangroves for more than 9 years. With its growing participants every year and continuous collaborative effort with the Philippines national government, Kanepackage is serious in helping combat against the unforeseen effects of climate change.

Mangrove planting activity for Saitama-Cebu HR

Talima, Olango Island- With enthusiasm and excitement reflected on the faces of each students, everybody were eager for the mangrove planting activity held last November 9, 2017 at one of the popular islands of Cebu, the Olango Island. A 6-km distance away from Mactan, Lapu-Lapu City. The scorching heat of the sun didn’t stop the college students from three (3) of the well-known universities in Cebu to participate this event. They are University of San Jose Recoletos-Cebu, University of San Carlos, and Cebu Technological University. A total of 147 participants joined and celebrated the mangrove planting activity as part of the Saitama-Cebu HR Development Project. The event was spearheaded by the KPGroup Philippines employees. Professors, faculty and visitor from Cebu Provincial Capital were also present during the event. CEO, President Yoshikazu Kanesaka gave an inspirational message to the students and faculty during the program. From Saitama Government, Ms. Naoko Inaba, the Executive Director of the International Division, Dept. of Public Service; Mr. Wakamatsu, the Associate Director; and Ms. Kaneda, all from the International Division, participated the mangrove planting event. Mr. Abner Barnuevo, a Ph.D candidate from Saitama University and working as a Project Coordinator presented a short lecture about brief background of mangroves.

Blood Donation by Super Flex Logistic Inc.

October 28, 2017, Saturday. The Super Flex Logistic Inc.(SFLI), one of the Kanepackage Group of Companies subsidiaries participated in LTI's (Laguna Technopark Inc.) Annual Medical Mission in Brgy. Dela Paz, Binan, Laguna Philippines. There were 20 employees of SFLI donated blood during this outpouring of goodwill activity. In addition, SFLI had pledged various kinds of medicines and medical supplies to the constituents of Brgy. Dela Paz.

Blood Donation by Super Flex Logistic Inc.

As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, The Kanepackage Group of Companies is back to its annual books donation activities last June 30 and July 7, 2017. The two recipient schools are San Vicente Day Care Center situated in Olango Island and the newly-build Manipis Day Care Center located at the rural area of Tanjay, Negros Oriental, Philippines. A total of 93 sets of books which includes reading, writing, basic science and math & language were donated by the Kanepackage. Sixty (60) students from San Vicente day care and thirty-three (33) students from Manipis day care center.
